The sights and sounds of New York

On a recent trip to New York I had the pleasure of visiting some of the best sights the world has to offer. Here are my favourites:

1. Rockefeller View - Climb to the top of the Rockefeller center for some of the best views of Manhattan. It is truly magnificent and leaves you in awe of the sheer scale of New York.

2. Statue of Liberty - It’s one of things which everyone should visit. New York’s statue of liberty isn’t as tall as you may think but it’s well worth a visit.

3.  Times Sq -Like nowhere I’ve ever been, Time Square makes you feel as though you are on a movie set, it is truly buzzing and I simply couldn’t get enough!

4.  Broadway - Don’t go and see Phantom of the Opera, although the atmosphere was electric the show was a major let down, I was very dissapointed and actually fell asleep during the show! I found it incredibly boring, and even though it was my wife’s dream to see Phantom on Broadway she didn’t even enjoy it!

5. Empire State & Central Park - Both of these are well worth a visit. Bare in mind that the top of the Empire State building is very cold if you are heading all the way to the top! And Central Park is bustling with things to see and stalls to buy those pointless souvenirs!

I stayed at the Hilton just down the road from Central Park and couldn’t have been happier with the service, and the breakfast was to die for! I’m still dreaming about the waffles they cooked up every morning!

If you are looking for cheap New York Hotels then Expedia have some great offers. I booked with them and couldn’t have been happy with the flights and the hotel.

All in all my trip to New York couldn’t have been better, I only wish I could have stayed longer
