It doesn’t matter how perfect you think you are you can always be better.
It really is possible to change — to improve one’s self, to increase self-control. It’s a wonderfully empowering experience to feel yourself conquer a problem — to feel yourself able to exert self-control, conquer bad habits and improve your experience of life.
Are you hoping to beat stress, control anger, improve your self esteem, or learn to be decisive? Do you want to be the life and soul of the party, or have a quiet charisma that draws people to you? Maybe there’s something in you preventing you from making money. Whatever self improvement you want, it is certainly possible.
It was Henry David Thoreau said “I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of a man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavour”
The process of inner change requires inner work. It is not enough to read, you have to practice what you read, and this needs time and effort. There is no such thing as instant self improvement.
You’re unique, and your self improvement goals won’t be the same as others, but whatever you would like to change, with determination you will succeed in doing so.
